Bowdoin’s Rudalevige Explains Concept of Federalism (Monkey Cage)

Founding Principles Chapter Two: Federalism from Bowdoin College on Vimeo.

Thomas Brackett Reed Professor of Government¬†Andrew Rudalevige explained the concept of federalism in the latest edition of The¬†Monkey Cage, the Washington Post‘s political science blog.

Quoting James Madison’s Federalist Papers, Rudalevige said the US has a government unlike any other because it is ‘”neither wholly national nor wholly federal” (by which he meant state-based) but rather “a composition of both.”‘

The Monkey Cage is publishing the “Founding Principles” video series every Tuesday over the summer.
