Between Monday March 23 and Sunday March 29, 2015 the Arctic Museum will join 1800 museums around the world in the second annual #MuseumWeek on Twitter. Over seven days, each day featuring a different theme, we will be sharing our experiences with the world, and giving our followers a chance to join the conversation, too.
Participation is simple – follow us on Twitter by clicking the ‘follow’ button on our home page. This will allow you to see and respond to all our tweets. But why stop there? You can follow other favorite museums as well, or follow the official #MuseumWeek account to discover new favorites and see what museums are doing all over the world. If you don’t have or want a Twitter account, you can still participate through the official web page, MuseumWeek.org.
The first #MuseumWeek was launched in 2014 by a group of museums and cultural institutions in France and over 600 European museums participated. This year the initiative has gone global, with museums from Argentina to Yemen taking part. Different themes for each day provide many opportunities for museums and their audiences to exchange ideas, inspirations and memories. We are very excited to be a part of this global conversation. Please join us!
