Hundreds of Bowdoin students added a pop of color to the rapidly browning backdrop of fall foliage on campus Monday for Yellow Shirt Day, an eight-year-old tradition of wearing yellow in support of the College’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex or questioning (LGBTIQ) community. Bowdoin’s Queer Straight Alliance (BQSA) handed out 600 T-shirts sported by students, student-athletes, coaches, faculty and staff; others wore yellow in some fashion to show their support.
