Chase Taylor ’12 Chronicles His New Life in Mombasa Archives

Recent grad Chase Taylor has already found his Bowdoin education useful. In the first entry of his travel blog, Chasing Mombasa, Taylor thanks Stephen Perkinson and Pamela Fletcher –┬áboth associate professors of art history – with wisely steering him to the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam, where he spent a few hours during a long layover before he continued his journey to Kenya. But that was just the start of his adventures. Taylor is a teaching assistant at the Aga Khan Academy in Mombasa, Kenya, where he writes that he’s also serving as a dorm parent, college counselor, student representative council assistant and form tutor.
