For a quarter-century now, the cross-country team has undertaken a rite of passage, forsaking terra firma for the rolling waters of the Androscoggin River. The 25th annual cross-country team canoe race began at the train trestle in downtown Brunswick. The cross-country runners run two miles to the start of the race, paddle three miles downriver into Merrymeeting Bay, and then run back five miles on the Brunswick bike path. Tim Hunt ’14 and Jada Wensman ’14 paddled to victory over the second place team of defending champion Coby Horowitz ’14 and Lucy Knowlton ’16. Results here.
