Baseball – Freshman Henry Van Zant escaped a sixth-inning jam and combined with Christian Martin and Ian Edwards on a three-hitter, as the Polar Bears earned a crucial 2-1 win against the Williams College Ephs in NESCAC Championship Tournament action on Campus Field.
Men’s Tennis – The men’s tennis team swept doubles play en route to a 5-0 shutout of Baruch in the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Tournament Saturday.
Women’s Tennis – Bowdoin advanced to the NCAA Regional finals with a 5-1 victory over Wellesley (17-7) in Saturday’s second round match-up. The Polar Bears (12-8) will take on host Middlebury in the NCAA Regional finals at noon Sunday.
Men’s Lacrosse – The stellar season of the men’s lacrosse team came to an end Saturday in the Second Round of the NCAA Division III Tournament as Union took a 10-4 victory over the Polar Bears.
Rowing – The Bowdoin women zoomed to a silver medal a length behind Division-2 powerhouse Nova Southeastern and a bowball ahead of Philadlephia University in the Varsity Four event at the Dad Vail Regatta Saturday, extending Bowdoin’s medal-winning streak to four years in the largest collegiate regatta in the country. Three of Bowdoin’s four entries advanced to the semi-finals in this national level competition showing the depth of the Polar Bear squad. Results here.
