Jill Shaw Ruddock '77

Author and philanthropist Jill Shaw Ruddock, a member of the Bowdoin College Class of 1977, has been included on the list, “25 of the Most Inspirational People from Kensington to Kensal Rise,” in the British magazine The Hill.

Asked to curate a compilation of her 25 most inspiring neighbors, Juliet Kinsman, editor-in-chief of the Mr & Mrs Smith luxury hotel guides, lists Shaw Ruddock, denizen of Notting Hill since 1983, at #8, calling her a “poster girl for women over 50,” citing her book Second Half of Your Life, which guides women through post-menopause with uplifting interviews, and her founding of the Second Half Centre.

Shaw Ruddock is to receive the 2012 Common Good Award at Reunion Convocation Saturday.
