Bears on Bikes: A 55th Reunion Trek to Brunswick Archives

If the Class of 1957 is involved, you know bikes are, too. For the third time in 10 years, classmates are gearing up for another Bears on Bikes trek to Reunion Weekend.

Bears on Bikes: A dozen members of the Class of 1957 arrive on campus in 2007 for their 50th reunion.

It began in 2002 leading up to their 45th reunion, and continued in 2007 for their 50th. Now, for their 55th get-together, and at an average age of 76, members will again have ridden 135 miles along a shore route from New Hampshire to Brunswick. Ridemaster David Webster ’57 reports that, as in the past, the class we will be raising money for the Charles Chapman ’57 Scholarship Fund.

Overnight stops are planned in Kennebunkport and Cape Elizabeth before the group’s arrival on campus Thursday afternoon.
