Early Risers See Network Shout-Out for Museum’s Chinese Bronzes (Early Today) Archives

Early birds and insomniacs got to see a brief Bowdoin College Museum of Art shout-out on NBC’s Early Today show Jan. 4.

NBC meteorologist Bill Karins (who worked in Maine in the early 2000s) highlighted the Museum’s Along the Yangzi River, an exhibition of Chinese bronzes, as the “event of the day” during a weather segment.

The network plug came as the exhibition was wrapping up; you can read about Along the Yangzi and its reviews hereEarly Today airs on NBC stations at 4 a.m.

The Museum exhibition Insight Out: Exploring Gifts of Art from Private Collectors, celebrating the contributions of private art collectors to Bowdoin since the bequest of James Bowdoin III in 1811, opens January 24, 2012.
