The College’s first-ever state banquet, at which students were invited to dress in formal attire and dine with others from their home state, was held Sunday in Main and Lancaster Lounges, Moulton Union. Flags from other countries also beckoned international students to get acquainted over a meal.
The dinner gave students a chance to bridge the gap between Bowdoin friends and summer vacation friends. One student cited a more short-term project – finding a carpool home for Thanksgiving. Photos by Dennis Griggs/Tannery Hill Studios.
What a great idea! Love those Bowdoin College Dining Services! This sounds like another great way to help our kids feel grounded away from home.
Actually a student idea…isn’t it great?
