Summer research at Bowdoin’s Coastal Studies Center marine lab is revealing new information about the flash of the scale worm, one of the ocean’s luminescent creatures.

“It took me three days of rock-flipping to find out how to look for them,” says student research assistant Tamara Perreault ’12, who had a grant to study the worms from the Henry L. and Grace Doherty Charitable Foundation Coastal Studies Research Fellowship.
