Christopher Hill ’74, a former U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for East Asia, as well as former US Ambassador to Iraq and chief US negotiator with North Korea from 2005 to 2009, is now the University of Denver’s Dean of the Korbel School of International Studies. He is also author of the new series “America in a New World” on the op-ed commentary website Project Syndicate.

In his most recent post, Hill writes about the life and legacy of Lawrence Eagleburger, who spent his career in the U.S. Foreign Service, serving and later advising presidents from John F. Kennedy to George H.W. Bush.
