Bowdoin Grad Extends Family’s ‘Luke’s Lobster’ Reach to D.C.

(L. to r.) Lindsay Luke '10, Bryan Holden '09, Emily Baird '09 in the newest Luke's Lobster location in Washington, D.C.

Luke’s Lobster has been serving genuine Maine lobster rolls, replete with New England-style, split-top buns, in New York City since 2009. Touting the fact its lobsters come direct from company president Luke Holden’s lobsterman father in Maine, it has established four locations across the city, most recently adding a food truck, the “nauti mobile.” The family business has grown again of late, with Bryan Holden, Luke’s brother and a member of the Class of 2009, opening the newest location in Washington, D.C., last month. Read the press coverage for Luke’s Lobster.
