Polar Bear Scoreboard: Tough Losses for Lax

Men’s Lacrosse – In a crazy finish as thunderstorms loomed overhead, Tufts senior Ryan Molloy scored with 0.4 seconds remaining in regulation to give the Jumbos an 11-10 victory over Bowdoin College in the semifinals of the NESCAC Men’s Lacrosse Championship on Saturday afternoon at Bello Field.

Women’s Lacrosse – The Colby College women’s lacrosse team scored the final seven goals of the game, breaking a 7-7 tie with 12 minutes remaining, to take a 14-7 win over Bowdoin in the NESCAC Semifinals Saturday at Trinity College.

Baseball – The Bowdoin College baseball team snapped a four-game losing streak with a doubleheader sweep of Middlebury on Saturday, 7-2 and 16-7.

Men’s Tennis – The Amherst College men’s tennis team eliminated Bowdoin from NESCAC Championship contention on Saturday, dispatching the Polar Bears with a 5-0 win in the conference seminfinals.

Men’s & Women’s Outdoor Track & Field – The Bowdoin College men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams both finished fourth at the New England Division III Championships yesterday at MIT. Elsa Millett ’12 400M) and Colin Fong ’12 (800M) each earned first-place finishes while both the men’s and women’s 4×800 teams established new school records.
