Women’s Lacrosse – Eleven players found their way into the scoring column as the nationally-ranked Bowdoin women’s lacrosse team continued to roll and improved to 7-1 on the year with a 20-3 non-conference victory over the University of New England Sunday afternoon. A day earlier, Carolyn Gorajek scored five goals, including the last two for Bowdoin, to lead the Polar Bear women’s lacrosse team in a 10-9 victory over Connecticut College.
Men’s Lacrosse – The lacrosse team used a suffocating defensive effort to earn a key NESCAC road victory at Connecticut College Saturday afternoon, 9-5.
Softball – Trinity pitchers Kristen Anderson and Katherine Poulos tossed 12 innings and allowed just one unearned run to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a sweep of Bowdoin, 4-1 and 9-0, in NESCAC East softball action Sunday. On Saturday, Senior co-captain Kara Nilan allowed just one hit in the circle and collected three with her bat to lead the team to a 3-1 win over the Trinity College Bantams in both team’s NESCAC East opener on Campus Field.
Baseball – The baseball team was swept by Amherst in their northern debut on Sunday afternoon.
Men’s Tennis – The men’s tennis team made quick work of Tufts Sunday afternoon, taking an 8-1 victory to complete a weekend sweep of NESCAC teams. The team opened NESCAC play Saturday with a convincing 9-0 win over Wesleyan University in a match played indoors at Farley Field House.
Women’s Tennis – The women’s tennis team easily dispatched Wesleyan University, 8-1, in their home opener Saturday at Farley Field House.
