Women’s Basketball: Bowdoin’s Katie Bergeron scored a game-high 18 points to lead the Polar Bear women’s basketball team to a 69-51 victory over Bates in the Quarterfinals of the NESCAC Tournament on Saturday afternoon at Morrell Gymnasium. Men’s Ice Hockey: The Bowdoin College men’s ice hockey team will carry a two-game winning streak into the NESCAC Tournament after defeating New England College 3-0 in their regular season finale Saturday afternoon.
Women’s Ice Hockey: Lauren Greer scored a pair of goals as the Middlebury College women’s ice hockey team rallied from a two-goal deficit to clinch the top seed for the 2011 NESCAC Tournament with a 4-2 win at Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon.
Indoor Track and Field: Both Bowdoin College indoor track teams placed fifth in their respective New England Division III Championship meets in Massachusetts on Saturday. The Polar Bear men placed fifth at Springfield College while the women were fifth at MIT.
Nordic Skiing: The Bowdoin College nordic ski team finished 10th of 12 cross-country squads at the Middlebury Carnival last weekend.
