Men’s Basketball: The Bowdoin College men’s basketball team is in Williamstown, Mass., this weekend attempting to make NESCAC Tournament history. The Polar Bears (14-9, 3-6 NESCAC) are seeded eighth in the 2011 NESCAC Men’s Basketball Championship and will look to knock off top-seeded Williams (23-1, 9-0 NESCAC) in the quarterfinals scheduled for 2:00 p.m. today. Women’s Basketball: The Polar Bears finished their regular season with a record of 20-4 (6-3) NESCAC to earn the third seed and will host sixth-seeded Bates (17-7, 5-4 NESCAC) at 3:00 p.m. in Morrell Gymnasium. Men’s Ice Hockey: Tim McGarry scored the go-ahead goal with 3:24 remaining as the Bowdoin College men’s ice hockey team scored four power play goals in a 6-5 win over Saint Anselm College on Friday evening.
Women’s Ice Hockey: Bowdoin’s Kayte Holtz scored the game-winning goal with just 1:32 remaining to give the Polar Bear women’s ice hockey team a 4-3 win over Williams on Friday evening at Watson Arena. With the win, Bowdoin (14-7-2, 9-5-1 NESCAC) clinches a home NESCAC Quarterfinal for the first time since 2006.

Women’s Swimming and Diving: The Bowdoin College women’s swimming and diving team opened competition at the 2011 New England Small College Athletic Conference Championship last night at Williams College.
