New Douglas Kennedy ’76 Novel Reviewed (Washington Post)

Book critics have described Douglas Kennedy ’76-one of the bestselling novelists in Europe-as a master storyteller with a trademark genius for writing serious popular fiction. His work has been translated into twenty-one languages, and in 2006, he was awarded the French decoration of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Even so, Time magazine has called Kennedy “The most famous American writer you never heard of.” But that’s changing with Simon and Schuster’s recent American publication of Kennedy’s European catalogue, beginning in 2009 with The Pursuit of Happiness, followed last year with Leaving the World, and this month with A Special Relationship, which recently garnered an excellent review from The Washington Post. Kennedy’s newest novel, The Moment, will be published in May.
