Sunday Scoreboard: Soccer, Field Hockey Advance in NCAA Play

Men’s soccer – The Bowdoin College men’s soccer team made program history Sunday with their first-ever NCAA Tournament victory, 2-1, over Eastern Connecticut in a second-round contest at Pickard Field. The Polar Bears will serve as the host team for an NCAA Sectional at Pickard Field this Saturday and Sunday, November 20-21.

Field hockey – Bowdoin senior co-captain Ingrid Oelschlager scored the game-winning goal with 3:21 remaining in the first overtime to lift the Polar Bear field hockey team to their fifth NCAA semifinal appearance, 4″“3 over Lebanon Valley in a regional final Sunday.

Sailing – The sailing team closed out its fall schedule by finishing seventh of 16 schools at the Bowdoin-hosted Atlantic Coast Tournament this weekend at Bethel Point.
