Bowdoin first-year Zach Danssaert scored the game-winning goal with one second remaining in overtime to lift the Polar Bear men’s soccer team to their first national semifinal appearance, 2-1, over Middlebury Sunday afternoon in the NCAA Quarterfinals.
The Polar Bears (15-1-4) earn their school-record 15th win of the season and will face the winner of Lynchburg and Ohio Wesleyan on Friday, December 3, for a berth in the national title match.

GO BEARS!!!! You are a great team with great heart and true sportsmanship. I am so proud of and happy for you! — Tia (Ben D-S’ aunt)
The strength and depth of this team is amazing. The players support each other on and off the field. As the parent of a first year player I could not be happier! Hope to see you all in San Antonio! Go U Bears!
