McKeen Center Lauded for Local Efforts to End Homelessness Archives

For its efforts to help end homelessness in the midcoast area, Bowdoin’s Joseph McKeen Center for the Common Good was recognized with an award from Tedford Housing, a non-profit agency that provides emergency shelter, programming and advocacy for homeless Maine families.

Interim Director Sarah Seames accepted the award on behalf of the McKeen Center and the College at Tedford Housing’s annual meeting, held on campus Tuesday, Nov. 9.

In presenting the award, Tedford Executive Director Don Kniseley spoke of the many ways in which Bowdoin students, faculty and staff have partnered with Tedford over the years through direct volunteering and by providing research in the area of affordable housing and homelessness.
