Bowdoin Alumnus Inspires USA Science and Engineering Festival

Larry Bock, a member of the Bowdoin College Class of 1981, is the executive director of and the inspiration behind the first USA Science & Engineering Festival taking place this week in Washington D.C. The stated mission of the event is to “re-invigorate the interest of our nation’s youth in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) by producing and presenting the most compelling, exciting, educational and entertaining science gatherings in the United States.” Bowdoin is one of the only liberal arts colleges partnering on the event. A delegation of Bowdoin students and faculty posed for a photo yesterday before heading off to the festival in Washington.
