The Great American Novel: Men Only? (Slate) Archives

The volume is increasing on a debate currently taking place within the literary community about gender and ethnic bias among book critics. Writer Meghan O’Roarke adds her insightful voice to the gender issue in an essay at Slate titled, “Can a Woman Be a ‘Great American Novelist’?”
