Hundreds Swim, Bike, Run in 8th Annual PolarBear Competition

More than 450 swimmers, bicyclists and runners endured chilly weather with occasional showers – not to mention the grueling aspects of physical competition – for the 2010 PolarBear Triathlon and Duathlon Saturday, May 8.

congratulations to Mr. Thomas class of 2003. But being a veteran of 4 official Triathalons(“tin-man”–a.k.a the Olympic event)which officially consists of 1 mile swim, 30K bike and 10K run, I hope you will consider changing the rules. After all, for years the Olympic trials for track were held in Brunswick, and our own Joan Benoit won the first Woman’s marathon in 1984 (which i personally had the pleasure of watching.)
