The Bowdoin College men’s ice hockey team has earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament in pairings announced on Sunday night. The Polar Bears (19-6-1), who finished first in the NESCAC Regular Season standings, will travel to play at Oswego State (25-2-0) in the quarterfinals of the Division III Tournament on Saturday, March 13, at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets will go on sale at Oswego’s box office on Wednesday morning and a limited number have been set aside for Bowdoin fans to order by phone. Prices are $8 for adults and $3 for students with college ID. To purchase tickets, Bowdoin fans should call the Oswego Ticket Office at 315.312.3073 and use program code 53 to ensure they will be seated in the Bowdoin fan section. Tickets will be available to be picked up at the box office prior to the game on Saturday night.
All tickets sales should be made through Oswego’s box office as no tickets will be available in the Bowdoin Athletic Department. For fans unable to attend the game, Oswego will provide live statistics and a audio broadcast of the game. More information about a possible video webcast will be available later this week. Bowdoin will be making its third NCAA Tournament appearance overall and its first since 2002. Oswego, the 2007 National Champions, won the SUNYAC (State University of New York Athletic Conference) and are 25-2-0 this season, ranking second in the latest Division III poll.
